Wild in the outdoor vest mini
The vest is knitted from the top down in double rib in one piece. The neckline is knitted double and knitted down. It is knitted higher at the back, using the German Short Rows technique. At the same time, increases are made in pairs of increases, a total of 4 times per row. It is knitted back and forth until the opening for the armhole is reached. Then the front and back pieces are knitted together and knitted in the round.
When the desired length of the body is reached, cast off with a double Italian cast-off. Around the sleeve openings, stitches are picked up and cast off again with an i-cord edge. Finally, the zipper lining is knitted from the remaining stitches, so that the zipper will also look nice from the wrong side. The zipper is finally attached by hand.
It is a good idea to knit a test piece before you start to check that the knitting tension is correct. Note that the knitting tension is given in rib after rinsing.
Yarn that can replace Pernilla: Alpakka Silke, Tynn Merinoull and Tynn Peer Gynt from Sandnes Garn, or other yarn that provides a knitting tension of 27/10.
