My name is Lene Viste Bjørheim
I work at a middle school in Stavanger and I'm suddenly well over 40. My great passion is knitting and designing knitting patterns for adults and children.
I am a mother of five boys, married to my Andreas. We live in Stavanger and like to go to the mountains on the weekends. I knit every single day! Of course! I "found" this great hobby at the age of 40. Before that I have knitted on and off, but not like now!
My big dream is to be creative all day long, with knitting and designing garments, real knitting joy all day long.
My story
The designer adventure started when I was a teacher of arts and crafts in 2019. My students were given a new assignment, "design a headpiece". It was of course to be knitted and I wanted them to create a written assignment, a knitting pattern in one size. I thought I should test the assignment myself, and thus began my journey into the world of design.
In my patterns you will find different levels of difficulty and different techniques. I like to make patterns that suit everyone, like the Line series. This is a great series for beginners. While the Vill i series and the Glitter series are usually for those who have knitted a little. I am a big fan of ruffles and cute details. But I also like the classic.
There are also links to good films that can help you if you get stuck. At the same time, I try to write educational and well-explanatory texts.
I create patterns based on what I feel I need in "our" wardrobe. Even though I don't have any girls in my little group, there will be a few patterns for girls too. After "pressure" from nice test knitters ;)
