Honey Bikini Set – a summer dream on knitting needles

The Honey Bikini Set consists of a bikini bottom and a simple, feminine bikini top – both knitted in the elegant yarn from Chamade.knitwear, CONTREPOINT N°2. The entire set is knitted in a structure, which gives a great and elastic fit with nice details.

The set is designed with adjustment in mind: If you have a narrow waist but a larger bust, you can easily start with size XS and move up to size L when the increases start. The most important thing is to keep track of the structure along the way – and you will get a well-fitting and personalized bikini set.

The Honey Bikini Set combines classic knitwear with modern style and is perfect for both sunny beach days and as a little luxury knitting project.

The yarn

The set is knitted with Lycra yarn, a highly elastic fiber specially developed for sportswear and swimwear. This means you can safely swim in the finished bikini.

This pattern is designed exclusively for use with Chamade Knitwear's Lycra yarn. It is not recommended to use any other yarn as it will not provide the correct fit or functionality.

This yarn has a ribbon-like structure. Its density (weight/length) is very different from wool or other traditional yarns. The length/weight stated is measured when the yarn is lying flat. When knitted, the yarn can stretch up to 40 - 50% in length. The yarn looks like it is 150 meters, but it behaves like it is approx. 210 meters in actual use value due to its elasticity.

Goal

The Honey Bikini Set has approximately – 40 cm of movement. This means that it is 40 cm smaller in circumference than your actual size. The smaller movement may seem extreme at first glance, but remember that the yarn is very elastic and stretches considerably when worn.
