RECIPE
Welcome to this versatile knitting pattern that gives you the opportunity to create a practical and stylish accessory using leftover yarn! This project is perfect for using up small yarn scraps and creating something unique and functional. Whether you want to decorate your hair or add a colorful belt to your outfit, this pattern will give you a fantastic result.
This arm/hairband/belt project combines i-cord and double knit techniques, giving a beautiful and professional result. The i-cord gives the edges a nice finish, while the double knit gives the fabric extra thickness and stability, perfect for both headbands and belts.
With this pattern, you can create an accessory that is both practical and eco-friendly, and that breathes new life into your leftover yarn. Let's get started and see how these little bits of yarn can be transformed into something beautiful and useful!
Here the knitting tension is not so important. It will either give a wider or thinner result. It can be an advantage to use yarn that gives:
3 yarn scraps: Knitting tension 26 - 28 stitches per 10 cm, such as Alpakka silk or Sunday from Sandnes Garn or Arwetta from Filcolana.
2 yarn scraps: A strand with thin guide thread (e.g. Thin silk mohair) together with a yarn that gives 22 stitches on 10 cm, such as Merino wool.
1 skein: Thick Line from Sandnes Garn
