RECIPE
The Milly Tee is a versatile summer top that is knitted from the top down, ideal for warm days. It is constructed in stockinette stitch with puff sleeves and finished with i-cord edges on both the body and sleeves, giving a clean and elegant look.
The increases are made on both the right and wrong sides of the shoulder stitches to shape the neckline and shoulders evenly. Furthermore, raglan increases are made on the sleeves and body, so that the garment has a comfortable and flexible fit. Finally, an i-cord is knitted and threaded into the double neckline, which gives a delicate look, while also allowing you to easily adjust the opening.
The Milly Tee is not only a stylish addition to your wardrobe, but also a very practical piece that can be worn in different ways, depending on your mood and occasion. With its modern design and airy fit, this piece is perfect for sunny days and warm nights.
I recommend that you try on the top during the knitting process. Also take your experiences from how your swatch has changed before and after rinsing. This way you can knit the perfect garment for your body.
The recipe is long. Some people like to read the entire recipe before starting. Feel free to do so, but my biggest recommendation is to read this recipe, paragraph by paragraph, sentence by sentence, and voila, you're done.
Size guide
Chest measurement of approximately 85 (90) 95 (100) 110 (120) cm corresponds to size XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL). The blouse has a negative ease of approx. 2 - 4 cm. This means that if you measure approx. 90 cm around the chest you should knit a size. S. I measure 93 cm in width and have knitted a size. S. Measure yourself before you start knitting. To find out what width you want.
The stated width measurement is before the blouse is worn. It will adapt to the body without spoiling the look. After washing, the blouse will “shrink” back to the measurements given in the pattern. The length will remain fairly constant. The sizes correspond to standard European sizes.
It is a good idea to knit a test piece before you start to check that the knitting tension is correct. Note that the knitting tension is stated after the top has been rinsed.
