Honey Neck is knitted from the top down. The shoulder section of the back piece is knitted first, then the front pieces, before the work is joined.

The neck is knitted in the characteristic Honey texture, and ribbing is worked along the sides — a detail that is repeated in all the edges, giving the piece a cohesive, classic look.

The sample is knitted in Sunset in Sahara from Bæstemor, an exclusive yarn of merino wool and camel hair. The fiber blend gives the garment a beautiful sheen, good elasticity and excellent insulating properties. You can also use a similar yarn that gives the same gauge.

Knit a gauge swatch before you start to check that your gauge is correct. Note that the gauge is measured in the textured pattern after blocking.
